How
does it work?

Cable modems take advantage of the latest
CableTV Networks, such as the City of Lebanon's state-of-the-art
Hybrid Fiber Coax (H.F.C.) system, which uses digital signals
and lasers to greatly accelerate information throughout
the network, to GO Concepts Network Operations Center (N.O.C.),
to the Internet, and back to your computer at your home
or business. Most importantly; it's fast, inexpensive, and
it frees up your phone line for those important calls!

Frequently
Asked Questions
What
is Cable Internet?
Cable Internet is a GO Concepts and the City of Lebanon
joint venture to provide Lebanon residents with affordable,
high speed connectivity to the Internet. Cable Internet
is a relatively new technology that enables you to obtain
ultra high-speed access to the Internet via the City of
Lebanon's Hybrid Fiber Coax (HFC) Telecommunications Network.
Cable Internet uses special technology to separate the signal
for Cable Television from the ultra high-speed data signal,
and more importantly Cable Internet allows you to
free up your phone line to make and receive those important
phone calls you may now be missing due to dial-in access
tying up your phone line.
Can
I still use my telephone if I have Cable Internet?
Yes! In addition to Cable Internet’s speed, one of the most
exciting features is no additional phone line is required.
It uses the same coaxial cable as your Cable Television
signal, eliminating the need for a second phone line to
access the Internet.
Can I watch Cable
TV and use the Internet?
Yes! The Cable TV signal and Cable Internet signal
use different ranges of frequency on the HFC Network. Therefore,
you can use either one or both at the same time.
Do I have to take
Cable TV to get Cable Internet?
No. While we hope you choose to use the City of Lebanon's
Cable TV service, you have the choice to subscribe to either
service or both if you prefer.
Does
it matter what Internet Service Provider (ISP)
I use?
Yes. GO Concepts, Inc. is the exclusive provider of ultra
high speed Cable Internet on the City of Lebanon's HFC Network.
What
equipment do I need for Cable Internet Access?
Please see the Cable
Internet Hardware Requirements section.
What are the costs

are there for Cable Internet?

dial-up Internet access. You will be billed directly by
GO Concepts, Inc.
What
if I live in the Network area, but I want dial-in access
and not Cable Internet?

but for those that still want dial-up, you will still be
able to use GO Concepts quality dial-up Internet access.
You will be billed directly by GO Concepts, Inc.
How
will I be billed for Cable Internet?

your monthly City of Lebanon utility bill. Now one bill
and one payment will take care of all of your City services.
