  • • What’s your secret talent that no one knows about?
A: I have lots of projects I’m always working on but one that not many know about is a series of short stories I’ve been diligently working on for almost 8 years now. Mostly consisting of outlines and dozens of books worth of notes right now. Once they are all written out in final scripts, I’ll be turning them into animated shorts.
  • • What’s your favorite movie?
A: I love film both as a viewer but also as an art medium, so it’s really hard to narrow down to one film that I love over the rest, but one of my top favorites is Inception. I enjoy movies that make you consider things in a new way while also being extremely engaging and action packed.
  • • What are you passionate about?
A: I am truly passionate about learning and creating new things, from stories, worlds, characters, developing simple electronics, really just the process of taking something from my head researching it to death and then making it real.
  • • How long have you been working for GO Concepts?
A: I’ve been working for GO Concepts since late 2018.
  • • What do you do in your spare time?
A: I spend a huge amount of time working on various art/tech projects so I’m usually researching, sketching, or building something. Mostly I’m working on modeling a game character right now but I’m also in the process of rebuilding/upgrading my 3d printer.
  • • Which sports team do you root for?
A: I don’t really follow sports teams at all but I do very occasionally enjoy watching the Golden State Warriors since they are from where I grew up and I do enjoy playing basketball.
  • • Do you play a musical instrument?
A: I have at various points in time tried to pick up different instruments but have never had a ton of success overall, at least as compared to my siblings who all play multiple. I play a little bit of piano, even less guitar, and back in middle school I played the Obo for a year and a half.
  • • What’s the one piece of advice you would give others about life?
A: Any one who has known me for a while would tell you that I tend to overthink everything, and frequently make things more complicated than they need to be. I think the best advice I can give is to do what feels right and trust that it will work out for the best in the end. Our lives are filled with opportunities and we are really only limited by our own capacity to imagine what we can do with them.
  • • If you were doing something else besides this, what would it be?
A: My ultimate goal is to eventually get a job in the film/game industry as a character artist.
  • • Do you volunteer anywhere?
A: I frequently participate in local service projects lead by the local Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, where I have also held several leadership positions and currently serve as an assistant to our full time missionaries in the area.
  • • What is the one thing in this world you are most proud of?
A: One thing that I am definitely proud of was my achievement of Eagle Scout rank as a youth in the Boy Scouts program. It was one of only a couple things that I would say I’m truly proud of as an accomplishment during that period of my life.
  • • Do you prefer Windows or Mac? Why?
A: I definitely prefer windows/linux over mac. I have used various apple products over the years but I like to be able to have more granular control over my system and be able to customize as much as I want. Apple prevents most of that especially in their mobile products, and I find them overpriced, outdated, and really just underwhelming in features for the cost. I dislike the entire idea of the “Apple Lifestyle”, especially when it typically means that I have to conform to all of their proprietary cables and use expensive adapters for everything. Some of my friends disagree and I’m not confrontational about it at all, but I can’t justify spending massive amounts on apple eco systems that are subpar to my current setup. Apple can’t offer anything that I can’t get on Windows or Linux, either at the same cost or cheaper. So for now I’ll stick with the issues I get on Windows.
